Meet the Doctors
Dr.
Steve Smith
Dr. Steve Smith is a 1980 magna cum laude graduate of the Los Angeles College of
Chiropractic. He is a state appointed Qualified Medical Evaluator with training
in Worker's Compensation. He has taken post graduate education in sports
injuries, lower back pain, Worker's Compensation, personal injury and auto
accident injury care, head pain and wellness.
Dr. Smith is active in his profession serving as a seminar speaker, lecturing
nation wide. He has served on the Board of Regents of the Los Angeles College of
Chiropractic and has been a post graduate extension faculty member of two
chiropractic colleges, training extern doctors.
He first became involved with the chiropractic profession after suffering a
herniated disc in his lower back as a teenager. He feels that his personal
experience with a severe back problem has made him a better doctor. Dr. Smith
has dedicated his life to the prevention and treatment of spinal problems.
As an active member in the community, he has served twice as the President of
the Buena Park Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Smith has also served on a number of
community boards, is actively involved in his church, and has served as a leader
in the Boy Scouts.
He and his wife, Judy, have five children and enjoy camping, fishing, hiking
and skiing.
Dr.
Jerome Melad
Dr.
Melad is a 2002 graduate of the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic.
Prior to his graduate work at LACC, he attended the University of
California at Irvine and San Francisco State University where he
attained a B.S. in Kinesiology. Since his graduation from LACC in 2002,
he has completed more than 300 hours in educational seminars, in order
to offer his patients the latest and most up to date chiropractic
therapies. Dr. Melad has served as a mentor and coach to many recent
graduates in order to help grow the awareness and promotion of
Chiropractic.
Dr. Melad is driven by his passion to help others achieve their health
goals. He has helped hundreds of patients to achieve a more satisfying
quality of life through Chiropractic. He has helped hundreds of patients
to recover from injuries sustained in auto accidents and workplace
accidents, as well as sports related injuries. He believes in patient
education and conducts regularly scheduled in-office workshops in order
to give his patients the knowledge necessary to maintain a healthy
lifestyle. He is also very involved with the community and has worked
with organizations such as The American Heart Association and Susan G.
Komen Foundation for The Cure of Breast Cancer.
Dr. Melad has been involved with sports and activities his whole life.
In high school, he played football and wrestled, and after graduating,
was also involved in coaching the wrestling team for two years. He loves
outdoor sports such as surfing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, and most of
all, deep sea fishing.
